School News

This month: Our curriculum is very exciting!  The beginning of the month we had a blast camping with our big tent
up all week, playing tug a war, badmitton, fishing in our little kiddie pool and catching octopus, stingrays, and fish, and their favorite part….roasting marshmallows in our pretend campfire that the children made with the sticks they found around the yard!  We have been Learning about different insects, such as how caterpillars evolve to
butterflies (We are still waiting for our butterflies to come out of their cocoons) and how bees make honey which
went well with our Rosh Hashana holiday celebration and dipping our apples into honey!

Our week long Rosh Hashana celebration is very exciting for the kids!  Itai comes in every day saying he wants to hear the song! There is a lot of positive energy and fun activities with making Shofar’s (Don’t worry parent’s,
there are no Ram’s here) from paper towel rolls and the children making their own honey cake!  Watching a movie about it with their friends and music and movement with Yifat during the Holidays make it loads of fun for your little ones!  Taking the children to visit the Rabbi this year will be a great experience for all of us!

Activities: Gymnastics is starting again and the kids are very excited and asking about it all the time! I will take photos so you can see their bright little faces smiling while they master each of their skills.

Big news: This year we are planning  weekly trips to the Library which will be great support for our  themes!
On this day, we will pack our lunch and have a picnic!  Am I spoiling these kids or what J

Halloween is coming: Our neighborhood pumpkin patch is setting up now for Halloween.  Last year the kids had such a fun time picking their pumpkins, sliding on the gigantic slides, and jumping in the jump houses!  I will keep you updated about the day and time of this fun field trip, anyone and everyone  is welcome to join us you would like! This year our Halloween party will start at 3pm and end at 4pm at which time the children will trick or treat to each of your cars.  At 4pm you park your cars up and down our side of the street and decorate the backs or the trunks with Halloween decorations (if you have them), play fun Halloween music etc. , and wait for your dressed up princess or pirate etc. to walk down the street and get their treats.  I will give you more detailed information on this event individually.  That is one of the best parts about being a smaller school!

Thank you’s: I want to thank all of you parents for sharing your children with us!  I am so attached to each of them and look forward to seeing them each day.  I am so lucky to have the best child care around!  Yes,, I can say that because it is filled with the best kids!

Love you all!

Last but not least, a big Thank you to Tinna Dinesen for bringing back my favorite website!   I am so happy to have this great site to help show off our special school!  YEAH!  www.dinesen-design.com
